Apartment Description
eaves Glover Park, located in the Glover Park neighborhood of the D.C. Metro area - where sensible apartment living meets a sensible cost of living. eaves Glover Park is a Rent Controlled Community and utilities are included with rent. Now leasing... furnished and unfurnished apartment homes. eaves Glover Park offers quality Glover Park DC apartments with a few little extras, like beautiful parquet floors and ceramic-tiled baths. Upgrade any home to Furnished+ and enjoy the convenience of turnkey living.
This was going to be a 3 star review based on my lengthy tenure here, which had, admittedly some perks post-COVID, but looking in totality it's hard to give this any more than 2 because it's just...bland. Sure, as a starter apartment for young grads or seniors, the rent controls prevent a hefty raise in prices, front desk concierge people are generally nice, and there being a rooftop plaza of any sort is nice (albeit small), but there are far far more negatives than positives.
Personal negatives I've experienced: The walls being thin making it very easy to hear anyone coming through them (or music late at night, despite a noise ordinance after 10). Maintenance being hit and miss at times. The lack of AC in April due to the controlled changeover being roughly 3 weeks later (I could've sworn this was far earlier than May 15). The lack of any real continuity at the front desk concierge (other than Kim on weekends, who's been one of the highlights the entire tenure). Laundry prices getting raised with ZERO warning or notice (the laundry room itself is a negative that you get used to). Mail service failing to adhere to multiple return to sender notices. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. The real reason, now that I think about it, that it's limited to 2 is because management HAS to keep this place as is to keep it rent controlled. If you can handle the limited features for the relatively cheap price, this place can be useful, but otherwise stay away from here.

AVOID
Management company is absolutely terrible. Doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner, conveniently "loses" documents so they can charge you more, doesn't actually care about residents. Moreover, the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor sneeze and the entire time I lived there, half of the machines in the laundry room didn't work.

Eaves Gloverpark: an alright expirence
Eaves glover park is nothing special. Sure the rooftop And the fitness center are great but my issue comes from the leasing staff. The newest leading staff member Emanuel has done everything he could possibly do to make our stay more plesant. However his colluge Dennis told us several falsehoods about our apartments location in the building, our view etc and should there fore be avoided.
In sum the amenities like the sun deck are nice (although they make you pay a fee to use) and the vast majority of the staff is helpful, but I would advice that you see the apartment for yourself before signing even if you are moving from across the country.
