Our 1865 rowhouse is located on the quiet, tree-lined 600 block of E St. SE, with friendly neighbors, and just a block or two from the action of Barracks Row (8th St.) and Pennsylvania Ave. The home features hardwood floors (some original) and great light throughout, thanks to skylights and an open flow. The furniture is a nice mix of antique, farmhouse, and contemporary. Our family is relocating just for the year and we are hoping to find another family who might enjoy this special spot almost as much as we do and take good care of it. The downstairs features a kitchen that's open to the central passageway, a sunny dining room, cozy sunken living room with a window seat and working fireplace, a breakfast nook / foyer opening to the side garden, and a half bath. The dining room opens to the backyard with an outdoor sofa and chairs on a back deck, a stone patio with outdoor dining, and a planted area with a fountain, all under the canopy of an evergreen tree.
