This is a spacious and private top floor suite in newer construction townhouse located just outside... of the city limits. Share your house with a SAIS alumnus (BC '97/DC '98). I can offer thoughtful conversations! Since I work out of the country part of the year, I would like to rent to a SAIS student to keep the house occupied.
On the main floor you have full access to use the kitchen and dining area. You will have your own bedroom with queen bed and other furnishings. The full bathroom is connected and you have use of your own lounge area or workspace. Special bonus is a walk-out to a large outdoor terrace, where smoking is allowed (semi-private). There is a second, small bedroom with its own bathroom that can also be available for $800 if you wish to live with a friend. I will do a separate ad for that.
Note: There are three flights of stairs from the front door to your suite. I prefer a male housemate, but I welcome all interested parties. No animals permitted inside. Let's talk!
The house is a short walk to the Hyattsville Crossing station. It is one Metrorail stop from University of Maryland campus. We have two major grocery stores within walking distance as well as plentiful retail across the street at the PG Mall. Yet, it is surprisingly quiet living with occasional faint noise from the metro trains. There is a small balcony overlooking the community grounds. Take advantage of easy access to the many parks and trails that wind through green spaces for hiking or biking!
