I lived in The Glenwood Apartments for 4 years. Do not rent here!!

Apartment Tour/Move-In - Make sure to do an in-person tour so you can really see the condition of the building. Pictures make it seem nicer than it actually is. In addition, several things were not completed and the place looked a mess upon move in.

Pests - A mouse infestation finally drove me to leave! Their maintenance team cut a hole under my kitchen sink without informing me, never patched it up, and my apartment became... infested. The management team didn't treat this as an urgent issue until I got their corporate office involved. In addition, I had roaches in my kitchen almost every summer and rats are always in/on the cans in the trash area.

Maintenance - They regularly mark requests as complete when they were never done. I would have to submit multiple requests and call to follow up for anything to finally be completed, and even then it would still take another several days. If you have an after hours emergency, no one will respond or show up! Both times I had a weekend emergency no one ever contacted me, even after dozens of calls to their afterhours line.

Safety - They've had multiple break-ins in the mail room. I've personally had 5 packages stolen from there and a package stolen near my mailbox in the lobby. After inquiring about the lobby's camera, I was told it does not work. Yet tenants were never informed that this camera wasn't operating. In addition, during my first year there I constantly heard/saw strange activity in the hallways and people at the front door asking me to let them in. It wasn't much of an issue after that first year but still something to be cautious of.

Management - The rudest and most unprofessional property management team I've ever dealt with. They rarely answer emails and the few times they do pick up their phones, any question is met with combativeness. I moved out over two months ago and still have not received my security deposit back. I called their office inquiring about this after the 45 day mark and their admin told me 1) I'm being unreasonable asking them for this before the holidays, and 2) they have 45 "business days" to return a deposit because they don't work on weekends. This is totally false and either Live Novo has hired staff that outright lie to their tenants about the law or their team is just that incompetent.

Highly recommend looking elsewhere for an apartment. The affordable rent is not worth the constant headache. Read More

I loved the property and felt that management was very responsive. I ended up choosing another one that lined up more closely with what I needed but would turn to Kayla again in the future.

Amenities are included and the complex has on site laundry. Also, management is very accommodating and helpful, especially during the move in process.

This property’s getting worse and worse, especially with NOVO taking over as management. They are EXTREMELY slow to respond to maintainance requests IF the respond at all. Neighbors are loud. A/C is not included, you have to “rent” the window unit. And the unit is in just 1 room. Neighbors are disgusting, just throwing bags of garbage in the trash room, not in the bins.
