Spacious units in a wonderful neighborhood

I've lived here 3 yrs and am very happy at Ellicott House. The Forest Hills neighborhood is very upscale and walkable with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The bus stop is in front of the bldg and the red line is 8 blocks down Connecticut Ave. The bldg has a nice mix of retired professionals and young people. The fact that it is a rent controlled property with utilities included is a real plus.
The units are large and many have balconies. I love that there is a laundry room on every floor... . We have an excellent maintenance staff. I have never seen insects or rodents. We do have occasional issues with hot water but they are quickly resolved. We have a new management company, APT, and they have already made improvements in our quality of life. I love living here!

Rodents, bugs and mold. Do not move here. The price is way to high for what you get. Leaks all over the building and these people don't understand DC law.

Although not a modern luxury bldg, the units are large and there is a laundry room on every floor. Very walkable neighborhood with stores and restaurants close by. This is a rent controlled bldg and utilities are included in rent. There is a bus stop right outside our doors. I would rate it at 5 stars except that we do have hot water issues from time to time.

I’ve had a very positive experience living in this building. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation, grocery stores, and everything I need for day-to-day life. The building itself is quiet, clean, and well-maintained, which makes it a very comfortable place to live. One of the highlights for me has been the staff: they are friendly, helpful, and consistently responsive whenever I have a question or need assistance. The common areas are also kept in great condition, and the... overall atmosphere feels safe and welcoming. I truly appreciate the sense of stability and convenience the building provides. It’s a place where I feel at ease, and that makes a big difference in my daily routine. I’m happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable living experience.
